Boys killed at DeKalb aparts identified

Brothers Jamarion Rolle, 11, and Jahki Clark, 12, were killed in a shooting at a Stone Mountain apartment complex on Sunday. Two women were also injured. No one has been arrested at this time.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. – Two young brothers have been identified as the victims of a deadly shooting at a Stone Mountain apartment complex.

Jamarion Rolle, 11, and Jahki Clark, 12, were killed in the shooting at the Nissan Golden Gate apartment community on North Hairston Road. A FOX 5 Atlanta reporter learned that the boys were brothers.

A 19-year-old woman and a 39-year-old woman were also shot. Both remained hospitalized in stable condition.

What we know:

DeKalb County police responded to 1075 North Hairston Road after receiving reports that multiple people had been shot.

Officers found Jamarion suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

First responders took Jahki to a hospital in critical condition, where he later died.

Police said preliminary evidence indicates the shooting may have resulted from a fight or disagreement earlier in the day. Investigators also confirmed that the two boys and the two women were related, but they did not explain all of the relationships.

“This is an unimaginable loss for the families involved and our entire community. We extend our deepest condolences to everyone affected by this senseless tragedy,” the DeKalb County Police Department said in a statement.

Police said the shooting was not an active shooter situation and there was no ongoing threat to nearby residents.

Investigators have not released information about what sparked the earlier disagreement or who opened fire.

Police have not identified a suspect or announced any arrests.
